A Teacher's Poem Lab School Holds HIV/AIDS Action Day12/7/2012
On December 7th, NYC Lab Schol for Collaborative Studies held their 15th annual HIV/AIDS Action Day. This event remains a tradition at Lab School that is devoted to education around the epidemic, self-awareness and healthy decision-making, and social justice.
This year, students took on the following challenge: "How Can We Educate and Motivate 5,000 Other Teens to Stop the Spread of HIV/AIDS?" Using the Stanford Design Model, students will developed various responses to the challenge. Following today's event, Lab School will implement pursue one of 17 student-developed response and make it public! IS 281 Hosts Displaced Students from Coney Island's PS 188, UFT and NYC Officials Visit School11/16/2012
CFN 107 would like to thank principal Maria Bender for hosting students from PS 188, whose school was damaged by Hurricane Sandy. Thank you, IS 218 for providing these students with a sense of normalcy in the wake of this devastating natural disaster. You can find this in your ARIS private community. There have been some changes to the tool. Due to new State Education Department guidelines, the Item Analysis now only shows the percentage of students who answered the question correctly, but does not indicates the correct answer to the question or which answer choices were incorrect. The tool also shows the standard or strand and performance indicator with which the item is associated, but does not indicate the item number. If you have questions about this tool or would like to have someone run a PD session around it, please contact your Instructional Liaison.
