Wilson Level One Certification


WRS Level I Certification (For Individuals)The WRS Level I Certification is being offered by the Network to interested individuals. The WRS Level I Certification course is designed to prepare teachers to effectively implement WRS Steps 1-6 with students reading and spelling below grade level and those diagnosed with a language-based learning disability. Participants will demonstrate mastery of the Wilson lesson plan, including multisensory techniques and effective strategies in a 1:1 setting.

Prerequisite: WRS Introductory Workshop (completed within the last five years)

Enrollment: If you are interested in enrolling, please contact Pema Latshang. 

Course Duration: Individuals have 12 months from the date of enrollment to complete the online course and practicum.

Location: The required five practicum observations must be in person at your school. You and your practicum student will meet with your trainer at this specified location. Your Network contact will work with you to schedule those observations with your trainer at designated substeps in the practicum. 

Cost: Normally $1,800/person but the Network covers the cost. Check the shopdoe.com site for the cost of the materials which schools must purchase.
