In order to meet the 21st century demands and to use the technological savvy of students in NYC as a lever for learning CFN 107 created a technology study group. This group is comprised of volunteer teachers from different subject areas that meet twice a month to discuss the use of technology in their classrooms and schools.  We have extremely ambitious goals for the rest of this year and the following school year of 2011-2012. Our goals are:

• Maximize on the technological intelligence our students to increase student engagement and achievement

• Create meaningful entry points for technology that are guided by the Common Core State Standards in the whole school community (classroom, parents, administrative team, inquiry groups etc.)

• Establish a resource where teachers and administrators can use as a guide for years to come on standards based technology integration
